20 Questions To Ask Anyone Foolish Enough To Believe The Economic Crisis Is Over

f you listen to Ben Bernanke, Barack Obama and the mainstream media long enough, and if you didn’t know any better, you might be tempted to think that the economic crisis is long gone and that we are in the midst of a burgeoning economic recovery.  Unfortunately, the truth is that the economic crisis is far from over.  In 2010, more homes were repossessed than ever before, more Americans were on food stamps than ever before and a smaller percentage of American men had jobs than ever before.  The reality is that the United States is an economic basket case and all of these natural disasters certainly are not helping things.  The Federal Reserve has been printing gigantic piles of money and the U.S. government has been borrowing and spending cash at a dizzying pace in an all-out effort to stabilize things.  They have succeeded for the moment, but our long-term economic problems are worse then ever.  We are still in the middle of a full-blown economic crisis and things are about to get even worse.

If you know someone that is foolish enough to believe that the economic crisis is over and that our economic problems are behind us, just ask that person the following questions….

#1 During the 23 months of the “Obama recovery”, an average of about 23,000 jobs a month have been created.  It takes somewhere in the neighborhood of 150,000 jobs a month just to keep up with population growth.  So shouldn’t we hold off a bit before we declare the economic crisis to be over?

#2 During the “recession”, somewhere between 6.3 million and 7.5 million jobs were lost.  During the “Obama recovery”, approximately 535,000 jobs have been added.  When will the rest of the jobs finally come back?

#3 Of the 535,000 jobs that have been created during the “Obama recovery”, only about 35,000 of them are permanent full-time jobs. Today, “low income jobs” account for 41 percent of all jobs in the United States. If our

New Alert For Fukushima in Japan Due to Typhoon Songda

New Alert For Fukushima in Japan Due to Typhoon Songda 28 May 2011 After the consequences of the 11 of March earthquake and of the tsunami, the radiation leaks and the overheating of the reactors’ core, a new alarm has been set off for the crippled Fukushima Daiichi 1 nuclear plant. Typhoon ‘Songda’ is approaching from the Philippines, where it caused at least 2 3 casualties and thousands of displaced people. The typhoon is heading with winds averaging 216 Km/h (around 135 mph).

Typhoon Strengthens, May Hit Fukushima Nuclear Plant 27 May 2011 Typhoon Songda strengthened to a supertyphoon after battering the Philippines and headed for Japan on a track that may pass over the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant by May 30, a U.S. monitoring center said. Songda’s winds increased to 241 kilometers (150 miles) per hour from 213 kph yesterday, the U.S. Navy Joint Typhoon Warning Center said on its website. The center’s forecast graphic includes a possible path over Fukushima Dai-Ichi plant, which has been spewing radiation since March 11 when an earthquake and tsunami knocked out cooling systems. Three of six reactor buildings have no roof after explosions blew them off, exposing spent fuel pools and containment chambers that are leaking.

Power outages, downed communication lines knocked out most radiation monitoring systems in disaster areas 29 May 2011 Most radiation monitoring systems in Fukushima, Miyagi and Ibaraki prefectures broke down temporarily after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, preventing local authorities from gauging the ensuing nuclear crisis, prefectural officials said. Twenty-two of the 23 round-the-clock radiation monitors installed around the crisis-hit Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant and at the nearby Fukushima No. 2 nuclear complex stopped sending data to the prefectural monitoring center about three hours after the quake, officials said.

The Fed Behind The Greatest Fraud In History

The price of gold a flight to quality, the need for a gold backed dollar, elitists wanting fiat currency, rampant inflation in US and Europe, Greece in default, living with the consequences of the greatest fraud in history. We believe that for the past 2-1/2 years the price of gold has been mainly driven by a flight to quality, as gold vied with the dollar for supremacy, as the world’s reserve currency. As we have witnessed gold has won that battle. The only way the dollar or any other world reserve currency can compete is by being backed 25% by gold. The elitist’s royalty of Wall Street and the City of London are quite upset with these developments, because they want all currencies to be fiat, so that they would not have to have a gold backed international monetary unit. Over the last six months another historic factor has come into play in evaluating gold versus currencies, and that is the interconnectivity of gold’s relationship with inflation. In the late 1970s this was the underlying factor for the rise in the prices of both gold and silver. At that time they never had the luxury of strength also coming from recognition of

The 25 Rules of Disinformation

From Twenty-Five Ways To Suppress Truth: The Rules of Disinformation (Includes The 8 Traits of A Disinformationalist) by H. Michael Sweeney. These 25 rules are everywhere in media, from political debates, to television shows, to comments on a blog.

1. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. Regardless of what you know, don’t discuss it — especially if you are a public figure, news anchor, etc. If it’s not reported, it didn’t happen, and you never have to deal with the issues.

2. Become incredulous and indignant. Avoid discussing key issues and instead focus on side issues which can be used show the topic as being critical of some otherwise sacrosanct group or theme. This is also known as the “How dare you!” gambit.

3. Create rumor mongers. Avoid discussing issues by describing all charges, regardless of venue or evidence, as mere rumors and wild accusations. Other derogatory terms mutually exclusive of truth may work as well. This method works especially well with a silent press, because the only way the public can learn of the facts are through such “arguable rumors”. If you can associate the material with

Australia has Propaganda Unit Called Climate Commission

Launch of the Climate Commission

Media release
10 February 2011
GC 08/11

The Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, Greg Combet, today announced the establishment of an independent Climate Commission, appointing the leading science communicator, Professor Tim Flannery, as Chief Commissioner.

Mr Combet said the Climate Commission would provide expert advice and information on climate change to the Australian community.

“The Climate Commission has been established by the Gillard Government to provide an authoritative, independent source of information for all Australians,” he said.  “It will provide expert advice on climate change science and impacts, and international action. It will help build the consensus required to move to a clean energy future.”

The Climate Commission would have a public outreach role, he said, to help build greater understanding and consensus about reducing Australia’s carbon pollution.

“The Commissioners are eminent Australians who are leaders in their fields and I’m pleased one of Australia’s

Twitter 1 – U.K. Justice 0 as Gag Order Collapses

LONDON (AP) – Britain’s scandal-hungry news media, an outspoken parliamentarian and thousands of ordinary people using the Twitter micro-blogging site have dealt a body blow to an institution of British justice, flouting a gag order imposed by one of the country’s top judges.Soccer star Ryan Giggs had been granted an injunction preventing media from publishing allegations that he’d had an affair with reality television contestant Imogen Thomas, but over the past few days his identity has increasingly appeared across the Internet, leaving newspapers to chomp at the bit as Twitter users swapped jokes about the sportsman’s alleged indiscretion. The journalists knew. The soccer fans knew. Even Prime Minister David Cameron knew, telling morning television that it was “rather unsustainable where newspapers can’t print something everyone else is talking about.”But breaking an injunction is a serious business, and the dam didn’t completely burst until British lawmaker John Hemming identified Manchester United star Giggs in Parliament on Monday. Members of Parliament benefit from absolute immunity, meaning that they have free rein to say what they wish and shrug off the threat of contempt of court.

Until then, Britain’s media had largely held its fire, relying instead on knowing references in gossip columns and blacked-out profile shots. But the pressure had been building all weekend, with hundreds of tweets an hour identifying Giggs as the man behind the gag order. Soccer fans openly taunted Giggs about the matter at a recent game. One journalist even blurted out part of the man’s name in a broadcast interview.

The case has increasingly become a touchstone for arguments over what Britons know as “super-injunctions” – sweeping legal measures that ban journalists from writing about something, or even writing about the fact that they can’t write about something.

The injunction that had been at work in the soccer star’s case was more properly known as an “anonymized injunction” – which meant that media organizations such as The Associated Press could write about him, so long as they kept his name a secret.

Gag orders aren’t necessarily devoted to tawdry personal matters, but of the 30 or so such injunctions awarded in Britain since 2008, all but three have gone to males. That has lead some legal commentators to suggest that the injunctions are being used by wealthy and powerful men to keep their alleged sexual indiscretions from being aired in public.

It’s in that context that Giggs’ name increasingly dripped out over the past few weeks. Every time his legal team tried to plug a leak, several more sprang.

Thomas went to Britain’s High Court to try to overturn the injunction earlier this month. She was defeated, but a mysterious Twitter account revealed Giggs’ name anyway, a move that swiftly drew national attention. Giggs’ lawyers only poured fuel on the fire when they demanded that Twitter reveal who was behind the Internet campaign, prompting some outraged users to spread the news even more widely.

On Sunday, Scotland’s Sunday Herald became the first British newspaper to flout the injunction, publishing a thinly censored photograph of the soccer star on its front page. Only his eyes were blacked out, and beneath the sportsman’s clearly recognizable face, the Herald wrote that “everyone knows” this was the star “accused of using the courts to keep allegations of a sexual affair secret.”

In an editorial, the Herald said it was “unsustainable” for newspapers not to be able to print information that was available on the Internet.

The paper quickly noted that it was not accusing the sportsman of carrying out an affair, but said that “whether the allegations against him are true or not has no relevance to this debate.”

“The issue is one of freedom of information and of a growing argument in favor of more restrictive privacy laws,” the paper said.

Speaking on Britain’s ITV before Giggs’ name was made completely public, Cameron called for a “time out” to “have a proper look at this.” Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt promised lawmakers he would create a committee to examine how the rules governing gagging orders could be changed.

“We take seriously the need to ensure we have the correct balance between privacy and freedom of expression,” he said.

Meanwhile, Britain’s High Court turned down attempt after attempt to formally lift the injunction. Nevertheless, the average wise-cracking Internet user isn’t likely to face legal action. As Hemming noted in his comments to Parliament, 75,000 people have named Giggs on Twitter, and “it is obviously impracticable to imprison them all.”

Hemming was quickly admonished by House of Commons Speaker John Bercow for his outburst.

A lawyer for Giggs did not immediately return an email seeking comment.

Strauss-Kahn Screws Africa

Now that I’ve dispensed with the obvious and obnoxious teaser headline, let’s drop the towel and expose Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s history of arrogant abuse. The truth is, the grandee of the IMF has molested Africans for years.

On Wednesday, the New York Times ran five – count’em, FIVE – stories on Strauss-Kahn, Director-General of the International Monetary Fund. According to the Paper of Record, the charges against “DSK,” as he’s known in France, are in “contradiction” to his “charm” and “accomplishments” at the IMF.

Au contraire, mes chers lecteurs.

Director-General DSK’s cruelty, arrogance and impunity toward African and other nations as generalissimo of the IMF is right in line with the story told by the poor, African hotel housekeeper in New York City.

Let’s consider how the housekeeper from Guinea ended up here in New York. In 2002, this single mother was granted asylum. What drove her here?

It began with the IMF rape of Guinea.

In 2002, the International Monetary Fund cut off capital inflows to this West African nation. Without the blessing of the International Monetary Fund, Guinea, which has up to half the world’s raw material for aluminum, plus oil, uranium, diamonds and gold, could not borrow a dime to develop these resources.

The IMF’s cut-off was, in effect, a foreclosure, and the nation choked and starved while sitting on its astonishing mineral wealth. As in the sub-prime mortgage foreclosures we see today, the IMF moved quickly to seize Guinea’s property.

But the IMF did not seize this nation’s riches for itself. Rather, it forced Guinea to sell off its resources to foreign corporations at prices much like the sale of furniture on the lawn of a foreclosed house.

The French, Americans, Canadians, Swiss (and lately, the Chinese) came in with spoons out and napkins tucked in under their chins, swallowing the nation’s bauxite, gold and more. In the meantime, the IMF ordered the end of trade barriers and thereby ruined local small holders.

As a result of the IMF attack, Guineans who could, fled for freedom and food. This week, then, marked the second time this poor African was molested by the IMF.

Now we have the context of how these two, the randy geezer of globalization and the refugee ended up, in quite different positions, in that New York hotel room.

Since taking over the IMF in 2007, erstwhile “Socialist” Strauss-Kahn has tightened the screws in an attempt to maintain the free-market finance mania that ruined this planet in the first place. [That’s worth a story in itself – and that’s coming. Our team has a stack of inside documents from the IMF that we will be releasing in my new book in the Fall.]

DSK’s lawyers say the relationship with the housekeeper was “consensual.” But DSK says that about all IMF agreements with nations over whom it holds life and death powers. That’s like saying a bank robbery is consensual so long as you don’t consider the gun.

Whether it was agreed-upon sex or brutal rape, it could only have been “consensual” in the same way that the people of Guinea consented to IMF-ordered financial rapine.

The Times article quotes an IMF crony of Strauss-Kahn saying DSK gets his way by “persuasion” not “bullying.” Tell that to the Greeks.

It was DSK who, last year, personally insisted on brutal terms for the so-called bail-out of Greece. “Strong conditionality” is the IMF term. Strauss-Kahn demanded not just a devastating cut in pensions and a deliberate increase in unemployment to 14%, but also the sell-off of 4,000 of 6,000 state-owned services. The DSK IMF plan allowed the financiers who set the financial fires of Greece to pick up the nation’s assets at a fire-sale price.

The Strauss-Kahn demands were not “tough love” for Greece: The love was reserved solely for the vulture bankers who received the IMF funds but were not required to accept one euro in lost profit in return. DSK, despite the advice of many, refused to ask the banks and speculators to reduce their usurious interest charges that were at the root of Greece’s woes.

Requiring Greece to sell assets, drop trade barriers, and even end the rule that Greek ships use Greek sailors has nothing to do with saving Greece, but everything to do with DSK’s continuing the right-wing free-market mania that got this planet into trouble in the first place.

I do not consider it a stretch to say that a predator in the bank boardroom suite assumes his impunity applies to the hotel suite.

Zionist Myth Of Islamic Jihad Against The West

The Islamic jihad against the West” is a hard sell. There is nothing real about it. It is nothing but Zionist psychodrama.

If someone said “Muslims in LA have called for a jihad against the police,” would it add to our sense of an inevitable war with Islam or would it merely stretch credibility like Bush’s “they hate our freedom” speech?

It is Zionists (through media they own) who are pushing the idea that Muslims are jihadists. They are making every effort to incite the West against Muslims based on the idea that Muslims preach holy war. Liberal Jews also push this idea by saying “attacking Iraq created more jihadists.”

It is a hard sell, because what we can see with our own eyes contradicts this incitement even though the Zionists have done their best with staged terrorism to implicate Muslims. They even tried to resurrect a five hundred-year-old conflict to persuade the Spanish after the train bombings that the Muslims have never given up their conquest of Spain!

The Zionists have used their suicide bomber shtick without giving much thought to plausibility–clearly implying that they think goyim (slaves) will believe anything. The Zionists have gone to considerable trouble to stage big operations like 9/11, 3/11, 7/7, USS Cole, Kenya and Tanzania. They have staged decapitations. They have invented Muslim leaders. They have fabricated jihadist rhetoric. They have got us into a war in Iraq and Afghanistan and now Libya. They have used their media relentlessly to push the Muslim jihad myth. We are not buying any of it.

To give you an idea, here is what an incorrigible Zionist recently told me: “You can wait until the first Muslim breaks down your door and kicks your balls. . . and takes what you have and forces you to kneel and pray to Allah, or cuts your head right off. I won’t wait for that, nor will the intelligent people of the world.”

I countered: “You are right. The intelligent people of the world are not waiting for Muslims to break down their doors, kick them in the balls, and cut their heads off. Nor are they waiting for radical Islam to mount a nuclear attack, poison our water, or use biological weapons. As one of the intelligent people who “won’t wait for that,” what will you do while you are not waiting? He just went on: “The Muslims are attacking, killing, beheading. . .”

Climate data manufacturing facility

It seems global warming and planetary warming exist only in the offices of the global warming climate change brigade. As they have been caught out over and over again doctoring the figures to make it look like there is a warming that doesn’t exist Eloi at RCS audit comes up with yet another reason why the likes of the BOM and the CSIRO are not to be trusted;

Whatever claims the BoM may have to operating an efficient weather station network, it is all for nothing when they let their data disappear into this cesspool of “homogenisation”.  As we can see from this small sample, none of the “homogenised” records bears any resemblance to the graphs produced from the presumably more realistic station data records. And when a whole century’s worth of “homogenised” data can be produced out of thin air, one has to ask – “what happened to the quality assurance procedures we were told about“.

Over at Ken’s Kingdom he is looking at predictions for future global temps and it seems that the direction is looking cold. Ken says;

October 12 month average will be about +0.01.  With the SOI dropping rapidly I expect to see the 12 month mean temperatures bottom out in the last 3 months of the year.”

When it is the cold that kills it is a travesty that those in power (Government and scientific institutions) continue to ignore this dangerous fact whilst they push and perpetuate the fraud of global warming.

Over at Layman’s Sunspot Count where they are tracking the current inactivity of the sun, even with the recent uptick in sunspot activity the sun is still tracking along Solar Cycle 5 parameters which means cold times ahead.

As more and more data is coming out to support Svensmark’s theory on cloudiness associated with low solar activity (cosmic rays/hydrogen interacting with oxygen in the atmosphere to produce water water) our governments should be educating and informing the people on the truth of the cooling climate and actively be preparing for shortened growing seasons, increased cold and precipitation (especially snow). With this comes food shortages, fuel poverty and an increase in cold related deaths. Are our UN puppet governments doing anything about these dangers? The answer is a resounding and deafening NO!

Former “alarmist” scientist says Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) based in false science

David Evans is a scientist. He has also worked in the heart of the AGW machine.  He consulted full-time for the Australian Greenhouse Office (now the Department of Climate Change) from 1999 to 2005, and part-time 2008 to 2010, modeling Australia’s carbon in plants, debris, mulch, soils, and forestry and agricultural products. He has six university degrees, including a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. The other day he said:

The debate about global warming has reached ridiculous proportions and is full of micro-thin half-truths and misunderstandings. I am a scientist who was on the carbon gravy train, understands the evidence, was once an alarmist, but am now a skeptic.

And with that he begins a demolition of the theories, premises and methods by which the AGW scare has been foisted on the public.

The politics:

The whole idea that carbon dioxide is the main cause of the recent global warming is based on a guess that was proved false by empirical evidence during the 1990s. But the gravy train was too big, with too many jobs, industries, trading profits, political careers, and the possibility of world government and total control riding on the outcome. So rather than admit they were wrong, the governments, and their tame climate scientists, now outrageously maintain the fiction that carbon dioxide is a dangerous pollutant.

He makes clear he understands that CO2 is indeed a “greenhouse gas”, and makes the point that if all else was equal then yes, more CO2 in the air should and would mean a warmer planet. But that’s where the current “science” goes off the tracks. It is built on an assumption that is false.

The science:

But the issue is not whether carbon dioxide warms the planet, but how much.

Most scientists, on both sides, also agree on how much a given increase in the level of carbon dioxide raises the planet’s temperature, if just the extra carbon dioxide is considered. These calculations come from laboratory experiments; the basic physics have been well known for a century.

The disagreement comes about what happens next.

The planet reacts to that extra carbon dioxide, which changes everything. Most critically, the extra warmth causes more water to evaporate from the oceans. But does the water hang around and increase the height of moist air in the atmosphere, or does it simply create more clouds and rain? Back in 1980, when the carbon dioxide theory started, no one knew. The alarmists guessed that it would increase the height of moist air around the planet, which would warm the planet even further, because the moist air is also a greenhouse gas. [emphasis mine]

But it didn’t increase the height of the moist air around the planet as subsequent studies have shown since that time. However, that theory or premise became the heart of the modeling that was done by the alarmist crowd.

The modeling:

This is the core idea of every official climate model: For each bit of warming due to carbon dioxide, they claim it ends up causing three bits of warming due to the extra moist air. The climate models amplify the carbon dioxide warming by a factor of three — so two-thirds of their projected warming is due to extra moist air (and other factors); only one-third is due to extra carbon dioxide.

That’s the core of the issue. All the disagreements and misunderstandings spring from this. The alarmist case is based on this guess about moisture in the atmosphere, and there is simply no evidence for the amplification that is at the core of their alarmism.

What did they find when they tried to prove this theory?

Weather balloons had been measuring the atmosphere since the 1960s, many thousands of them every year. The climate models all predict that as the planet warms, a hot spot of moist air will develop over the tropics about 10 kilometres up, as the layer of moist air expands upwards into the cool dry air above. During the warming of the late 1970s, ’80s and ’90s, the weather balloons found no hot spot. None at all. Not even a small one. This evidence proves that the climate models are fundamentally flawed, that they greatly overestimate the temperature increases due to carbon dioxide.

This evidence first became clear around the mid-1990s.

Evans is not the first to come to these conclusions. Earlier this year, in a post I highlighted, Richard Lindzen said the very same thing.

For warming since 1979, there is a further problem. The dominant role of cumulus convection in the tropics requires that temperature approximately follow what is called a moist adiabatic profile. This requires that warming in the tropical upper troposphere be 2-3 times greater than at the surface. Indeed, all models do show this, but the data doesn’t and this means that something is wrong with the data. It is well known that above about 2 km altitude, the tropical temperatures are pretty homogeneous in the horizontal so that sampling is not a problem. Below two km (roughly the height of what is referred to as the trade wind inversion), there is much more horizontal variability, and, therefore, there is a profound sampling problem. Under the circumstances, it is reasonable to conclude that the problem resides in the surface data, and that the actual trend at the surface is about 60% too large. Even the claimed trend is larger than what models would have projected but for the inclusion of an arbitrary fudge factor due to aerosol cooling. The discrepancy was reported by Lindzen (2007) and by Douglass et al (2007). Inevitably in climate science, when data conflicts with models, a small coterie of scientists can be counted upon to modify the data.

Evans reaches the natural conclusion – the same conclusion Lindzen reached:

At this point, official “climate science” stopped being a science. In science, empirical evidence always trumps theory, no matter how much you are in love with the theory. If theory and evidence disagree, real scientists scrap the theory. But official climate science ignored the crucial weather balloon evidence, and other subsequent evidence that backs it up, and instead clung to their carbon dioxide theory — that just happens to keep them in well-paying jobs with lavish research grants, and gives great political power to their government masters.

And why will it continue? Again, follow the money:

We are now at an extraordinary juncture. Official climate science, which is funded and directed entirely by government, promotes a theory that is based on a guess about moist air that is now a known falsehood. Governments gleefully accept their advice, because the only ways to curb emissions are to impose taxes and extend government control over all energy use. And to curb emissions on a world scale might even lead to world government — how exciting for the political class!

Indeed. How extraordinarily unexciting for the proletariat who will be the ones stuck with the bill if these governments ever succeed in finding a way to pass the taxes they hope to impose and extend even more government’s control over energy.

While you’re listening to the CEOs of American oil companies being grilled by Congress today, remember all of this. They’re going to try to punish an industry that is vital to our economy and national security, and much of the desire to do that is based on this false “science” that has been ginned up by government itself as an excuse to control more of our energy sector, raise untold revenues for its use and to pick winners and losers. All based on something which is, according to Evans and other scientists, now demonstrably false.
