Barclays Closes US Carbon Desk In Latest Cap And Trade Setback

A major European bank closed its US carbon trading business this week in a sign that 2012 is a “make-or-break” year for cap-and-trade programs designed to fight climate change.

London-based Barclays determined the US carbon market, currently comprised of a handful of states, is too small to justify the expense of a dedicated trading desk in New York, according to sources familiar with the decision. Barclays was a major player in US greenhouse-gas trading programs on the East and West coasts and remains active in Europe’s carbon market, the largest in the world. Seth Martin, a Barclays spokesman, declined to comment.

“That is not good news for carbon-dioxide trading, especially not in the US,” says Gary Hart, a market analyst for ICAP Energy and a veteran pollution-rights trader. “There’s such uncertainty around the use of carbon cap-and-trade programs.”

So why does Big Pharma coat children’s medicines with both aluminum and toxic coloring chemicals that damage brains?

It’s sick. Learn the truth, then pass it on:

British royals ‘used to be cannibals dining on human flesh’

The British royal family have been firmly in the limelight, with the nuptials between Prince William andKate Middleton making headline news around the world.

But now a new reason has emerged why the royals might be a particularly interesting subject, with the revelation that they used to dine on human flesh.

Kate and Wills will hopefully not follow the cannibal traditions of their ancestors (PA)

According to a new book on medicinal cannibalism, written by University of Durham academic Dr Richard Sugg, well-off and well-educated Brits used to eat human flesh, blood and bones as medicine.

This practice apparently took place in other parts of Europe as well up until the end of the 18th century.

While referring to the barbarity of cannibals in the New World, royals hypocritically applied, drank or wore powdered Egyptian mummy, as well as human fat, flesh, bone and even brains.

Dr Sugg suggests one cure for nosebleeds used by the upper class was moss taken from the skulls of dead soldiers.

The academic, from the university’s English Studies department, argues strongly that the Europeans were the real cannibals of the world.

‘One thing we are rarely taught at school, yet is evidenced in literary and historic texts of the time, is this: James I refused corpse medicine; Charles II made his own corpse medicine; and Charles I was made into corpse medicine,’ he said.

Charles II wasn’t the only royal to enjoy a feast of human flesh either; Queen Mary and William III were said to be in on the act too.

Dr Sugg’s book, Mummies, Cannibals and Vampires, will be published on June 29th and will be featured in an upcoming Channel 4 documentary with Tony Robinson.

Recently, a would-be cannibal in Kysak, Slovakia, was shot dead by police after his potential meal informed the authorities of his plans.

Dreams Fading In America And Europe

January 25 2012: Credit Suisse on board with us, a rescue for France in the works, Greece headed for the dustbin, will Germany leave the Euro? Pressure put on Iran, 953 dead voters in South Carolina, American way of life a fading dream.

An excerpt from Bob Chapman’s weekly publication.

We announced our belief a few weeks ago that the Fed loan to the ECB could with fractional banking be $10 trillion. This past week we found that Credit Suisse shares our ideas as well. We believe that what this move by the Fed and the ECB is telling us that this is probably it. We also ask again how can the banks in the LTRP repay the funds in a timely manner? No plan has been presented before or since, there is no plan. Again, just throw money at the problem. The only player really capable of saving Europe is Germany and they would destroy themselves in the

The Disease Machine: Why Drug Makers Keep You Sick

Why are ineffective and dangerous drugs peddled by supposed ‘public health’ organizations in place of well-established natural solutions with virtually zero side effects? The truth of the matter is that drug makers simply would not profit if the world were to awaken to the plethora of free health-promoting substances that beat out over-priced pharmaceuticals and medical interventions. There would be no need for pharmaceutical manufacturers, phony ‘public health’ organizations peddling the latest ‘miracle’ drug, and

Climategate 2.0: Al Gore + Kilimanjaro = alarmist hype

I’ve said many times that the claims of receding glaciers on Mt. Kilimanjaro by Al Gore in his movie “An Inconvenient Truth, and by extension, the claims of Dr. Lonnie Thompson  are nothing more than alarmist hype. The cause, deforestation leading to reduced evapotranspiration of moisture, rendering upslope winds less moisture laden, and thus depositing less precipitation on the summit. The ice then sublimates away. “Global warming” hasn’t anything to do with it.

A Climategate 2 email shows that Dr. Lonnie Thompson agrees privately, but spouts alarmism publicly. Now we have more on the story from the Miami Herald. It seems tour guides are seeing increased glacier growth now.

New technology turning society into a perfect prison

Imagine John Doe taking a taxi in the near future. He steps into the cab and instantly his name, address and a list of recent purchases flash on the cab driver’s computer screen. “Should I take you home to 221B Main Street, Mr. Doe?” the cab driver asks, eyeing John in the rear-view mirror to see if his face matches that of the digital photograph on his monitor.

“Uhhh, no,” John says. “How do you know my address?”

“Oh, then I can take you down to your office on 52nd Street if that’s where you’re heading. Or are you going to the drug store over on 2nd Avenue like last time?”

“Hold on,” John says. “How do you know all of this?”

“Oh, sorry, Mr. Doe, it looks like you’re running a little short on cash right now. Are you going to want to put this trip on credit?” the cabbie asks, punching some buttons on his computer. Something comes up on the screen and the cabbie stops, locks all the doors so John can’t get out of the cab.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m sorry, Mr. Doe, but it looks like your name is on a terrorist watchlist. I’ve let the police know and they’ll be here shortly to collect you.”

Should John Doe really be so surprised? It may sound like the stuff of science-fiction, but as a recent guest on The Corbett Report revealed, the technology that would make such a nightmare scenario possible is already starting to come on the market.

Trevor Warner is a businessman in Australia who is marketing technology to vendors like taxi companies or pizza delivery companies who require wireless credit card and smart card authorization for their customers in an increasingly cashless society.

Talking about the RFID smart cards being promoted by major credit card companies like Visa and MasterCard, Mr. Warner says “The customers using those cards, if they walk within…six feet from one of our terminals we can pick up the signal from that RFID device.” Speaking to the nightmare scenario outlined in the imaginary tale of Mr. Doe’s taxi ride, Mr. Warner adds that the company processing this information may “know the identitiy of that person, and they may not even have used our service.”

For the full interview with Trevor Warner, please click here.

As the interview makes clear, the the drive toward a cashless society—always marketed in terms of convenience—brings with it an attendant series of privacy issues that the major financial institutions, the controlled corporate media and the government would prefer you didn’t ponder too deeply.

Indeed, what is seldom made clear is that the information on these smart cards are being stored in centralized databases, and could conceivably be linked to national databases being created by governments like the U.S., the U.K. and Canada. More worrying still is that these governments have already created terrorist watchlists that are being used to suppress political dissent. Add to this the recent technological advances that allow for governments to create DNA databases containing the very genetic code of its citizens, X-Ray cameras that can see through clothes being hidden in lamp posts, behaviour detection cameras that can monitor suspicious activities and call the police all by themselves, blood-scanning cameras that use infrared beams to count the number of people in each car, and cameras that could even predict terrorist events before they happen by identifying the micro-expressions of would-be terrorists in crowds and it becomes painfully obvious that the potential for the government to know where you are and what you’re doing at all times has never been greater.Bentham's panopticonThe key to understanding what this technology represents may come from a British philosopher who has been dead for 200 years. Jeremy Bentham came up with the idea for the perfect prison in 1785. Essentially a circular structure with cells on the outer ring and a guardtower in the center, the panopticon works by allowing guards to conceivably watch each prisoner’s movements at all times. The genius of the panopticon, however, is that the prisoners cannot see if they are being observed and so, eventually, start censoring their actions as if they were always being watched. In effect, they begin to police themselves.

The panopticon stands as a metaphor for what is happening in our own day and age. Except in our time, the panopticon is not an architectural structure like a prison; it is the very planet itself. We are increasingly being watched, tracked, traced, our data stored and logged in national databases to which citizens do not have access. The cumulative effect of this technology is that citizens end up like the prisoners in Bentham’s panopticon: afraid to do anything out of line for fear it may be seen someday, somewhere, by someone. This is amplified by the fostering of terror paranoia by various government programs to make the prisoners of the panoptic system into citizen informants in a type of Snitch State.

For more information on the panopticon and its relation to our present-day society, please listen to the latest episode of The Corbett Report podcast. You can download the episode in mp3 by clicking here or listening in the player below:

Concerned citizens might start letting the government know how they feel about the creation of this panopticon by emailing the Department of Homeland Security to share your thoughts about the Real ID.

How to Starve Cancer Out of Your Body – Avoid These Top 4 Cancer-Feeding Foods

Story at-a-glance

  • Dr. Christine Horner, a board certified general- and plastic surgeon, shares her extensive knowledge about breast cancer—its causes and its cures, and the pro’s and con’s of various screening methods
  • There are many all-natural cancer-prevention strategies, and research shows that most of them can cut your risk in half. Consequently, by implementing multiple strategies, you can virtually eliminate your risk of cancer as well as other chronic disease
  • Your diet is the one of the best ways to either feed or prevent cancer. Processed foods, soft drinks, red meat from CAFO-raised animals, trans fats, all forms of sugar, and any food containing or contaminated with xenoestrogens promote cancer growth. Plant foods, particularly cruciferous vegetables and flax seed, as well as many herbs and spices are cancer-preventive
  • Healthy fats of particular importance for cancer prevention are omega-3 and omega-9, which effectively slow down tumor growth in estrogen-sensitive cancers such as breast-, prostate- and colon cancers

By Dr. Mercola

Dr. Christine Horner began her career as a board certified general- and plastic surgeon, performing breast reconstructive surgeries on women who’d had full mastectomies due to breast cancer.

In this interview, she shares her extensive knowledge about breast cancer—its causes and its cures, and the pro’s and con’s of various screening methods.

Her interest in breast cancer began while she was still in college, when her mother developed the disease.

Thirteen years later, when her mother’s cancer returned, Dr. Horner became very active with the American Cancer Society.

For a time, she was a vice-president and the Kentucky state spokesperson for the American Cancer Society on breast cancer issues.

“We were trained to say that we don’t know what causes breast cancer and we have no known cures; the best things that women can do are breast exams and mammograms,” she says.

“… In my practice, I was watching women get younger and younger when I was doing breast reconstruction on them.

Finally, I was doing women in their 20s. I thought something is way wrong with this picture.”  I thought why don’t we just look through the medical literature and see if there’s anything that research shows that women can do, that’s within our control that will lower our risks. I had no idea what I was going to find… But when I looked, I instantly found thousands of studies that show exactly why we have a cancer epidemic…”

The Aspartame Trap: You May Be Unknowingly Ingesting this Toxic Sweetener

The risk of artificial sweeteners is still very real. Aspartameis used as a substitute sweetener in thousands of products. Most diet sodas, processed foods and candies contain this ‘alternative’ to sugar.

If you aren’t careful, you’ll easily run into it somewhere in your food.

Aspartame is marketed not by its real name, but through products like Equal and NutraSweet. This is because aspartame itself has a bad reputation as a dangerous excitotoxin. An excitotoxin is named for its ability to ‘excite’ the cells of the body into overproducing a particular chemical, thus burning them out prematurely. Aspartame in particular has been found to affect brain cells, by mimicking the response to sweetness and producing an artificial form of it.

One study actually found that 67% of female rats exposed to aspartame developed tumors roughly the size of golf balls or larger.

When you consume an aspartame-sweetened product, its effect can translate into a number of neurological symptoms like headaches, fatigue, vision problems, and anxiety. These will continue to manifest until the user eliminates it from their diet completely.

However, if aspartame usage is continued, a physical addiction to the substance occurs. Most people know at least one person who can’t seem to kick their diet drinks, and when they try to, they end up with a number of these symptoms. Aspartame is considered addictive, and a chemical dependency begins to form when aspartame is consumed regularly, and is hard to break.

Aspartame Linked to Cancer, Contains Genetically Modified Bacteria

Due to the neurological effect aspartame has, its continued use can be expected to lead to many forms of neurological diseases as well as cancer. Aspartame has been suggested as a prominent cause for certain forms of brain cancer as well. It is also interesting to note that aspartame is also created using Monsanto’s genetically modified bacteria, raising further cause for alarm.

But who is most at risk for unknowingly consuming aspartame?

Older people and diabetics are more likely to consume aspartame due to their desire to replace sugar with a ‘healthy’ alternative. Of course aspartame is far from a healthy alternative. Its effects can easily accelerate or compound health concerns that these individuals may already have. Similarly, children are more likely to consume aspartame due to its prominent usage in all forms of candy, snacks, and soft drinks. This would easily serve to compromise their ability to achieve optimum health, as they are still in their formative stages, and therefore aspartame can cause irrevocable damage.

Avoid this addictive drug-like substance at any cost, and replace it with a real healthy alternative like stevia. Furthermore, it will benefit you to reconsider your stance on sugar consumption in general.

Rather than look for what seems to be a shortcut or alternative, consider that simply consuming less sugar is healthier.

Globalists in their own words about World Government, New World Order, Agenda 21, Money Making etc.

Note: Emphasis Added

“The modern banking system manufactures money out of nothing. The process is perhaps the most astounding piece of sleight of hand that was ever invented. Banking was conceived in iniquity and born in sin. Bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money and control credit, and with the flick of a pen, they will create enough money to buy it back again. Take this great power away from the bankers and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear, and they ought to disappear, for this would be a better and happier world to live in.But if you want to continue the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money and to control credit.”Sir Josiah Stamp, Director and President of the Bank of England
